Think about the questions you get all the time, and answer them on your profiles. If you’re being transparent and giving value day in and day out people will begin to know, like and trust you. When they need advice in your field, you’ll be the one they turn to and when they eventually need the products you offer, they’re more likely to buy from you.
3) Learn about your customers and their experience with your product
Wondering what kinds of products your ideal client would be interested in? Ask your social media followings what they’re struggling with in your area of expertise. Through comments and messaging, you can glean information about the products you already offer, and even what new products you can develop to solve their problems.
2) Manage Your Brand Reputation
Respond immediately to questions and even negative comments for the whole world to see. Transparency is key, and people will take notice that you’ve addressed the issue and resolved it quickly.
1) Drive Traffic to Your Offers and Build your Email List
This is your end-game: nearly everything you do on social media should lead to building your list.
Having a million fans on Facebook is all well and good-but what if Facebook goes down? What if Instagram disappears? You need a list, and social media is a great way to build it!
A great strategy for this is creating an opt-in offer. That’s just something that you can give them in return for their email address. For example, you can create a checklist or free ebook that your ideal client can’t resist, and post about it often.
Once you have email addresses, you can reach out any time you like with offers, promotions, surveys and just to say hello. With email, you can get in front of your best prospects on the regular, and give VALUE. They’ll keep coming back for more.
We haven’t even talked about increasing your bottom line. That is not guaranteed just by being on social media, but if you’re accomplishing some or all of the above, then you know the sales are going to be coming in. Word of mouth has always been one of the best, most reliable sources of leads and that is only magnified online. It’s up to you to control the conversation!
